Hello I’m the Teyler room
I’m a private room for four guests with one double bed and two single beds, set up as bunk beds. You have a view of the historic Spaarnwouderstraat. My bathroom has a shower, a sink and a toilet.
Hello I’m Teyler, Pieter Teyler. I’m a
wealthy silk and linen merchant, banker, and
philanthropist. Haarlem’s linen and silk trade
was booming so I did good business. Later I switched
to banking, which made me even more successful.
I love art and science and I collect all kinds of curious
objects such as tin, prints and fossils. You may find
some in this room. You can visit my home and admire
the rest of my collection at the Teylers Museum located
along the Spaarne.
My restaurant & bar
In my restaurant you can have breakfast like a a local. I serve warm bread just out of the oven, fresh juice, local cheese and much more. I also make a mean lunch and dinner. Or come and get a beer made in Haarlem from my bar with some Dutch snacks and enjoy it on my patio. I’ll see you there!
