Duinlust

I’m a private room at the Most Local Boutique Hostel in Haarlem. I have space for five guests with one double bed and three single beds. I’m a perfect room for a family. My bathroom has a shower, a sink and a toilet. You have direct access to the glass covered and very sunny patio.

Enjoy an a la carte breakfast in my restaurant, where I also serve lunch, dinner and some local snacks.

Or come and taste some Haarlem-made beers at my bar and sit on my sunny patio. I will open the glass roof of my patio when the weather is nice enough or close it, so that you can still sit outside, even when it rains.

The locals of Haarlem love the dunes and go there often for a run, a nice hike or to bike. After all, there is nothing better than some fresh air. That’s why it’s not so crazy that in 1948 the well-known sports education CIOS opened its first Dutch location here in the dunes. They did pick a very special location though, in a large historic estate called Duinlust. This grand estate was once owned by the wealthy Borski family. In those days most wealthy families from Amsterdam bought an estate in these Middle Dunes to escape the stench of the city in the summer. Today you can walk past the estate and while you are there show your sporty side in the dunes like the locals do.
